For the very first time, The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur (JFKL) and The Zhongshan Building at Kampung Attap will be co-organising a Japanese-themed festival, “Konnichiwa Zhongshan!”. A dynamic artist collective nested in a newly restored 1950’s building in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, the Zhongshan building houses an eclectic set of creative businesses and private studios. These artisans and aficionados range between emerging art and artisanal sourdough, independent booksellers and underground musicians, letterpress-ers and silkscreen-ers, coffees and suits, law and punk records.
So you can be sure to expect a diverse selection of Japanese-themed events for the public in Konnichiwa! Zhongshan including art exhibitions, live music gigs, workshops, talks, together with food and drinks for everyone to enjoy and experience with their friends and family.
Duration: 13 to 19 December 2021
Venue: The Zhongshan Building, 80-84 Jalan Rotan, Off Jalan Kampung Attap, 50460 Kuala Lumpur
