On the 5th and 6th, various types of (captivating) Japanese traditional dance will be showcased, including Bon odori and Yosakoi Soran. Bon Odori(盆踊り), meaning simply Bon, a type of dance performed during Obon. Originally danced by Nenbutsu folks to welcome the spirits of the dead, a kind of celebration varies in many aspects from region to region. Dancing style and music may vary from each region. The music can be composed specifi cally pertinent to the spiritual message of Obon, or local Min’yo folk songs. Taking picture together with Samurai is included in this exciting program too. Last but not least, you can have a chance to wear Yukata, a beautiful Japanese traditional summer costume. Let’s enjoy Japanese Summer festival together!
